libcinnamon-desktop-dev software package provides Cinnamon library for loading .desktop files - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcinnamon-desktop-dev
libcinnamon-desktop-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcinnamon-desktop-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcinnamon-desktop-dev *
You will get with libcinnamon-desktop-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
